Short Cuts

 

Squaring a Two digits number ending with 5:

Suppose you need to square 35    i.e.  (35)2 = 35 35

Step1: Split the Number   3      5  

Step2: Add  1 to the tens digit        3 + 1 = 4

Step3: Multiply the result by the tens digit  34=12
